February 4, 1954. LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY VERRAGE BAY SUPERIORS In Geraldton Sunday afternoon, January 31st, the Superiors beat the Goldminers 5-2 and thus moved into 4th place in the North Shore Hockey League standings, The Superiors took the offensive from the first whistle but could not score until 10:10 when Terry Cavanaugh assisted by Francis Hanna put them ahead. They kept right on trying after this early goal and Tony Massaro team- ed up with Hd Sepgnary at 15:40 to give Terrace Bay a 2-0 lead, The 2nd period had hardly started when Ed Sepgnary (1:10) scored with assists going te Pete Diduch and Tony Massaro making it 3-0, Geraldton started pushing after this goal and they gave Bob Weaver a very busy time, They finally did score and that end- ed the goals for the 2nd period.
