The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the reorganizing or closing of the club, If it is decided to disband, then the rifle club equipment will have to be disposed of. The method of disposing the equipment will be discussed. The meeting is called for Friday, Oct. 16th, at 7:00 p.m. in the armouries. 0-0-0 FIRE EREVENTION CLEAN-UP i The inspection of house basements by the Fire Department will continue until November 15th, in order to give residents a chance to do a real clean-up job and at the same time enable the Fire Lepartment to do a much better job of inspection. The results to date have been most satisfactory and the co-operation of the house tenants has been most gratifying. o-O0-o NEW BANKING HOURS Effective Saturday, October, 24th and each Saturday thereafter, the local branch of the Imperial Bank will be closed for business all day Saturdays. New banking hours, effective October 28th will be "open all day Wednesdays". Each Friday evening, in addition to normal daily hours, the bank will be open from 4:30 till 6:00 p.m. Pay night hours will be changed to 4:30 p.m. till 5:30 p.m. effective October 22nd. 0-0-0 HELP WANTED Anyone wishing to help set pins for the Ladies! League on Wednesdays from 1:45 till 3:30 p.m. is requested to please contact Leon at the Alleys. You Shift Workers who are free during these hours could lend a helping hand for this worthy cause. The members of the Group Committee assisted by the scouts, will be visiting all homes in Terrace Bay with a fine assortment of Christmas Cards, Gift wrap, Children's Story Books, etc, Our supplies are already here and we expect to be able to make delivery immediately. We will also be taking orders for personalized cards. , As. these cards are not returnable and our present working capital is nil, we. will have to ask for cash with all orders for these personalized cards. o-O-0 PUBLIC SCHOCL NEWS A Fire Drill was carried-out at the Public School by Fire-Chief Maitland on Thursday, October 8th. The plaque, won by Miss Honer's Kindergarten Class, was presented to the children by the Chier in a little informal ceremony after the drill.
