CONTINUATION SCHOOL NEWS With eagerness, last Monday morning, forty-five happy pupils opened the doors of T.B.C.S. for the 53/54 term. Of these forty-five, fifteen were found to be meck, timid, cowering Freshman while thirteen were flambuoyant know-it-all Second Formers. To counterbalance these rough, rugged Lower School pupils, the seventeen students of Grades XI and XII will need all the polish, charm and intelligence at their command if the Continuation School's rep- utation for courtesy, scholarship and enthusiasm is to be maintained. Our immediate concern is the nominating and electing of members for our Student Council so that initiation ceremonies and a social programme may be drawn up. Although we have lost three of our top athletes we are still looking forward to our Sport programme especially the recovering in the near future of the Track and Field trophy from the Schreiber Continuation School. Special credit is due to Mr, Petersen, and Home Run Kings (Johnny Schritt and Henry our new caretaker, who had our floors, Krahn-tied). The Most Valuable Player Award is being kept a secret and will be announced at the Dance. The Executive have spared no effort to make this a most enjoyable dance and with this in viow thoro'll be a Spot. Dance (with prize for the lucky couple), a 'Paul Jones", "Ladies Tag", and a number of novelty dances. desks, and equipment shining almost as brightly as the pupils themselves. o-0=0 SEPARATE SCHOOL NEWS St. Martin's Separate School opened September 14th with an enrolment of 103 For an evening of pleasant pupils, Mis C.
