MINOR BASEBALL Last night, before a very few baseball fans, Terrace Bay Indians played host to the Schreiber Braves and went down to defeat by a score of 7 = 3. This was more Or less due to the pitching ability of Schreiber's star left hander Tommy McCuaig who went thé: limit with 13 strikeouts, The game itself was an important one for the Terrace Crew as they tried to _ increase their two game winning streak over Schreiber teams. and also it was their first chance to show their wares before the home town fans, which I must say'were very conspicuous by their absence, "hg To see these little lads play their first year of orgainized ball was a treat to many an old pair of eyes and also an eye~ opener to many' a young pair, as their hitting (at times) and fielding had some of the fin- esse rs style of Big Leaguers. So give yourself and family a treat come out on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. and see both Terrace Bay teams in action. "A win for the Terrace Bay Browns will give then the lead in the inter--tow League, and a good chance of _copping the trophy for Terrace Bay. . Remember, its your sons and our future | ball stars who will be playing Saturday _ evening - so come on'out and give them all the support they need, It means a great deal to boys of this age to he cheered on as they hit well or make fine plays, and it tends to make them more sports minded arid also have more team and town spirit.
