" Volume 6, Woy 26 TOURIST FILM PROGRAMMES Commencing this coming Sunday, July 5th, a ten-week sexies of National Film Board Tourist Programmes will be shown in the Continuation School Auditorium. The shows, to be held every Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m., will be under the auspices of the local Kiwanis Club, The topics and titles will be many and varied and will feature Canada in the main. Here is a real opportunity to get to know this great country of ours a little better, This Sunday's programme will consist of four films entitled: "It's Fun to Sing", with the Leslie Bell Singers; "Bye Witness No. 17"; "Barbara Ann Scott." in a figure skating display and "Fishing in Newfoundland". 0-0-0 SWI CLASSES START MONDAY The first regular classes of swimming instruction will get underway on Monday morning when the Company bus will again make regular trips to the Waterfront behind the Mill. <A few changes have been made that we hope will be of advantage to all. First, the bus will make two trips out end back, each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On the mornings of those 3 days it will leave the Playground by the High School at 9:30 and make a return trip leaving the Waterfront at 11:30. On the afternoons of those same 3 days, it will leave the Play- ground at 1:30 p.m. and return trip will leave the Waterfront at approximately 4:20 eM, In all cases,these trips will be direct from the Playercund to the Waterfront and << the Waterfront to the Playground. Registration is taking place today and the final kinks will be worked out over the week-end ready for opening day on Monday. If, for some reason, there was no one home at your house when the Canvasser called and you have children you wish to register, here are a few of the pertinent facts: Playground head- quarters is at the playing field between the Public and Continuation Schools. Age limits are 4 to 13 years. For this pur- pose, any child 3 years old who will attain her or his 4th birthday prior to September 1st, 1953, will be eligible for enrollment.
