'The presentations will be mde by Arthur Carle, Safety Director of the Northwest Paper Company, Cloquet, Minnesota. Mr. Carle is Vice-Cheimman of the National Safety Council's Pulp and Paper section, 'The two awards are a "Certificate of Achievement" and an "ward of Merit." The "Certificate of Achievement" was earned in the National Safety Council's 1952 Paper Industry Safety Contest by bettering the frequency rate of the divis- ion in which we competed as well as our own frequency rate for the previous year, The "/ward of Merit", (second highest now given to industry by the Council) is being awarded to us for operating last year without e single lost-time injury during 1,044,874 consecutive man hours from March 28th to December 22nd. The May 27th ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. at either the Mill entrance or in the Pulp Storage Building, depending on the weather. During the ceremony, prize winning cheques will be distributed to winners of a local First Aid Contest held recently, for which prizes were donated by the Ontar- io Pulp and Paper Makers!
