Part of the report reads as follows: "In these lists (which include in-~ dustrial operations throughout Northwestern Ontario from Marathon to the Manitoba border) "we find four companies that qualify both in percentage of employees participnting and in far better than average size of applica- tions, That they may be singled out for ex- cellence of campaign, I am pleased to list them as follows: Great Lakes Paper Co. - Fort William LongLac Pulp & Paper Co. - Terrace Bay Ontario-Minnesota Paper Co. - Fort Frances Steep Rock Iron Mines - Atikoken" O-o-0 CURLING CLUB NEWS: Plans are rapidly progressing into realization as the Curling Club: propares for its 1951-52 season, The Membership and Draw Committee re- ports a total of 65 applications on file, with a number of lest year's curlers yet to be heard from. Thus far, 48 old members have returned and 17 newcomers have asked to be included in this senson's roster, The club lost only five people who left Terrace Bay during the past year, leaving about a dozen more yet to sign up. This should give us around eighty curlers which will be about tho right number for the ice available. President Thor Olsen reports good progress on renovating the new club house, and wishes to thank everyone who have given so willingly of their time to help put it in shape. This should place the club ina position to enjoy a really fine sociable season, , There will be another big work bee on the olub house this Friday evening, start- ing at 7 PM, ALL CURLERS are requested to be on hand to give the project enother big push at that time, How's the ice? The committee under Rune Ostling is working steadily at it as the weather permits, If cold weather sets in and holds, we'll have the ice ready for business in about ten days.
