SWIMMING POOL OPENS SATURDAY Our vastly improved swimming-facilities will officially open on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Some very worthwhile changes and alterations have been made to make this popular summer pastime more enjoyable for our residents, We now have 3 pools in one with an area of shallow water for beginners with a maximum depth of 24 to 3 feet. An advanced area of 24 to approximately 20 feet in depth for the more advanced swimmer and a larger area with depths from zero to approximately 20 feet, complete with two diving boards for the more advanced. ALL of this is enclosed by heavy, walking-type refts which are four feet wide, More of the area has been cleared so as to provide added bench and playing space and some equipment is being installed for the kiddies. The change~house has been moved to a better location and it is to receive a face lifte ing shortly, A few dabs of a paint brush here and there have helped to give the general crea a cleaner look, Along the same lines as last year, classes will be conducted on Monday, Wednes~ day «nd Friday mornings for those wishing to take swimming lessons, Through the courte esy of the Compnny, the bus will be avail- able on those mornings to transport the children and parents from the Townsite to the pool, free of charge. The bus schedule is as follows: starts to do the regular Townsite trip at 9:30 a.m. and arrives at the pool at approximately 9:45 cM. Leaves the pool at 11:30 a.m, and completes trip around the Townsite at 11:45 a.m, All persons who intend to make use of this bus service are asked to please note that the driver will loave sharp on the times noted as he has other duties to perform and must maintain a rigid schedule. So please be ready to board the bus at the designated times and avoid disappointment and a long walk, We are very fortunate in having Eric Siiling with us again this summer as Life Guard and Instructor and for the penefit of those adults who would like to learn to swim or dive and can't get to the morning sessions, Eric wants you to feel free to ask him for help at any time he is on duty at the pool. Thero has been a slight change in the hours over last: year and your co-operation is requested in observing this schedule very closely. Mondays through Saturdays the hours are from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 psm. until 8:00 p.m. in the evenings. On Sundays the pool will be supervised from 1:00 till 5:00 p.m. only.
