After a short devotional period con- ducted by the minister, Mr. W,. Borsum was elected as chairmen of the meeting with Mrs, Marsh as secretary. Encouraging re- ports were received from 211 the organiza- tions of the congregation. Those presenting reports were - Mr, Harry Coe, Treasurer; Mrs. Maitland, President of the Ladies Auxiliary; Mrs. R. Ostling, Superintendent of the Cradle Roll; Mr. Driffield, Super- intendent of the Sunday School; Mr. Monty Paget, Chairman of the Building Committee; and Mr. R. Williams, Chairmen of the Building Finance Committee. Elected to the Church Board for a two- year term were Mr, W. Borsum, lMrs, H, Marsh, Mr. Monty Paget, Mr. Ray Williams and Dr. McCausland. Four members were added to the trustee board and the board now consists of the DOA owinegs | Mr Ay Driffield, Mr. H.C. Laundy, Mr. Harold Marsh, Mr. Don Porter and Mr, Gordon Rowlandson. The main item of business was that re- lating to the building of the church, It was officially announced that the site asked for by the congregation had been epproved by the Comprny. Under the General Chairmanship of Eldon Marostica, the Men's Club have come up with a novel idea, it's called a "MILLIONNAIRES' NIGHT" and here's how it works: The Recreation Hall has been booked for Tuesday evening, January 23rd., for a Men's Stag at which Stage Money will be sold at a very reasonable price ~ $1000.00 for a nickel (,05), This money (no real money) will be accepted at the "gaming tables*® consisting of a half dozen or so of the more popular type games such as are found at Reno or Monte Cerlo. (Ask Betty Grable, Lana Turner or Howard Hughes). When you're through playing, just cash in your "money" and the cashier will convert it into some of that real, handy Canadian currency. Just to make things more enjoyable, there'll be the usual refreshments along with the famed Men's Club lunches. Tickets for this portion of the Stag are on sale now and are being sacrificed at $1.25 each. Get yours early because the number for sale is limited.
