A short while later, Ray Blanchard was awakened by a Similar noise and upon looking out his window, came face to face with Mr. Bear. Ray exercied his lungs to good advantage and "Little Joe" Campbell came a-running with his trusty carbine. Calmly giving instructions to Ray to lie down on his bed and to keep his head out of his line of fire, he took a steady bead and shot Mr. Bear right thru the window.
