Page 5 ON THE ALLEYS Alphonse Roussel's Dominion Catering team won the Mayfair Trophy to take top honours in the Commercial League when they rolled a nice score of 3290. Other members of the winning team are T, Moreau, L. Johnson and A. Guyan. The other three teams who were rolling off for the trophy bowled as follows: Hudson's Bay Company (Jim McLeod) 3119; Imperial Bank 2958 and Hudson's Bay Company (R. Wright) 2952. Clarence Buck's Hotel Whiz Bangs are the winners of the Consolation Series with a total pin-fall of 3248. Johnny Maurstad's Hotel Boozers had 2927 and Jack Noble's Dominion Catering squad came next with 2778, A bit of outstanding was done by Miss Barbara Haughn who, not satisfied with butter- ing Eileen Faubert's high single of .313, went one better to beat the Men's .353, by knocking over the Maples to the tune of .356, which is tops to date for the O'Keefe award. Hearty congrats to you Barbara! 0-0-0 MEN'S SPRING LEAGUE Flying Saucers 71 Points Horizontals 55 Points Sud Slingers 624 -- League of Nations Ah " Doe Heads 60 t Strike Rollers 38 " Esquires 58 '" Garage Enterprise 34 =" MIZED LEAGUE Hospital 66 Points Schemers 55 Points Wright 64g" Top Notchers 45 t Mad Hatters 59 " H.B.C,. Your co-operation will be appreciated. 0-0-0 FIRE-WORKS DISPLAY SET FOR THE 24TH Mombers of the Recreation Committee are ironing out the wrinkles to put on a dandy Fire-Work Display on the evening of Wednesday, 24th of May. Starting sharp at 9:00 o'clock and all parents are requested to have their children there in plenty of time as the Committee doesn't want to have children miss any part of this big event, In view of this organized display, all parents and guardians are requested to co- operate in not purchasing fire-crackers for the children, The reason being that the bush is dangerously close to our homes and it only takes a spark to cause a serious fire to start, The Ball Park in the South Camp has been chosen as being the safest area in Town, so that is where "Fire-Works" will take place. ; o-0-o RACQUET CLUB CABARET We have about ten tickets left for the Racquet Club Cabaret dance, Have you got yours?
