4A... fF. 5 Se ~é | 2 On1d-c Alo Volume 5, No, 15 ra anaes ae FORT WILLIAM MALE CHOIR CONCERT TO BE SPONSORED BY KIWANIS CLUB Terrace Bay residents ~ are in for a real musi- cal treat on Saturday evening, June 10th when the Fort William Male Choir will be heard in a concert which will include numbers selected to please all musical tastes. The varied program will be presénted in the Terrace Bay Recreation' Hall commencing at 8:15 p.m, and admission will be $1,00 for adults and 75¢ for children, The Fort William Male Choir is being brought to Terrace Bay by the local Kiwanis Club and this is the first step being taken by the Music and Entertainment Committee of the Club to develop what may ultimately be a regular Concert series for Terrace Bay. If and when such a Concert series is developed it is expected that it will operate along lines similar to other communities with season's tickets available for a given num- ber of concerts. ; In the meantime, keep June 10th open for the Fort William Male Choir Concert, Tickets will be available from Kiwanis Club members in about a week, 0-0-0 ANNOUNCEMENT Out of the recent wage negotiations held in Toronto, it is announced that a general wage increase of 5% will go into effect on the lst of May, It is also announced that'a night shift differential for shift'and tour workers, of ,05¢ per hour between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. will go into effect, o-O0-0 TAXI SERVICE CHANGES HANDS It is announced that Fisher's Taxis are now operating the local taxi service from a new location in the South Camp, The new telephone number is Dial 92 and all calls will be handled promptly and courteously. 0-0-0 LEGION LOG A social' evening is to be held in the clubrooms on Saturday, April 29th at 8:30 pam.
