Page 5 BANT/M HOCKEY Our Bantam Hockey Team journeyed to Rossport last Saturday afternoon to take on their team in a return engagement, The fact that the local lads lost by a score of 6 = 4 was no indication of the game at all, Terrace Bay led for most of the game and with just one minute left in the game the score was 4 all, However, the Rossport players put on a last minute spurt and popped in two quick goals, Terry Cavanaugh was the big gun for our squad by firing 3 of the 4 goals, with Richard Marcella picking up the extra point, The Terrace Bay line-up was as follows: Goal - Terry McInnes; - Defence - Reg Leblanc, Billy Marsh, Stan Savoy and Ted Stachiws; Centre - Terry Cavanaugh Wings - Tim McInnes and Ray Stachiw; Subs - R, Marcella, J, Compton, J, Galvin, Jim Sweet, Ed Stachiw and Doug Smith, Apart from the game itself, the boys really enjoyed the outing. Sharp at 12:30, cars driven by Harold Marsh, Bob MacDonald, Frank Sechesky and Earl Veitch pulled up to the school, the boys piled in and headed for Rossport, Jack Wellings brought up the rear with his car, picked up all of the equipment and proceeded on his way. After the game, the boys invaded the local Snack Bars and after coffee and sandwiches headed for home, Many thanks are due to those volunteers who drove the boys over for their big game , o=-O0=0 RIFIE CLUB Competition in the Club Team Shoot has been very good and some of the scores turned in are certainly indicative of the patience and earnestness with which the newcomers to the game are endeavouring to improve their scoring, Considerable interest is being shown by the ladies of the Club in this shoot and their scores are quite equal to most of the men's, ' The team standings to date are as follows, based on total points scored: #2 Team G, Page captain 1148 points average per target 95.66 #4 Team J, MacDonald i" SRR a " coe 92.25 #3 Team R, Lumbers " Oe " " " 9240 #1 Team K.
