MARTIN'S MEN'S SMOKER Last evening the men of the town had themselves an evening. The smoker got underway shortly after 8:00 psm. and ended up in the wee small hours of the morning. The evening's fun consisted of games, songs and a real "stag" luncheon served buffet style. This morning, many local men are congratulating their fellow men on their "hale and hearty" appearances. 0-0-0 ; HOSPITAL FLASH Congratulations to Mr, and Mrs, Hugh Chesley (see Mary Cavanaugh) on the birth of a son at Terrace Bay Hospital on Thursday morning, November 10, (Mary was on the staff of Terrace Bay Hospital throughout the construction period.) ; a-0-0 : OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY How many of us rememembered that just one year ago (November 8, 1948) our mill came into production. js it is the means ef live= lihood, directly or indirectly for all the citizens of this modern community, we might pause to look back at the first year of production, We are all proud of our record of production despite all the "gremlins" and "kinks! that had to be unsnarled as we went along. One of the most important factors in our re~ cord to date, both in production and safety, has been the excellent "human relations" en- joyed by all whe work here = the fact that we all feel we're working with the operators' and supervisors, not just for them, It is by keeping this uppermost in mind that by Nov. 8, 1950, we'll be able to pause once more, throw eut our chests, and say: "A better pro-= dug¢tion record, a better safety record, a better mill to work in than this time last youre" i Letts all work toward that end.
