Already more than 50 members of the legislature have accepted invitations to participate in the tour and that represents more than 55% of the provincial members. It is expected that more will be added to the number prior to departure time, e One of the stops to be made along the line will be Terrace Bay and this is sched= uled for the afternoon and evening of August 31st. Many of the legislators will have their first opportunity of viewing what has beoen accomplished in three short years in this area through the efforts of a public utility arid a private enterprise, for it was not until the summer of 1946 that the two projects really got underway. With such a large group of distinguished visitors scheduled to be our guests, rem sidents of the community will no doubt want to do everything they can to make the town appear as presentable as possible. Among other things this will mean the elimination of weeds and rubbish in both front and back yards, the straightening out of wood piles and in general putting the property around our homes in a neat and orderly condition. We have nearly three wecks to do the job and the whole#hearted support of everyone is earnestly and sincerely requested. Spocial arrangements are being made to pick up any refuse or weeds placed at the side of the road, Let's make Terrace Bay a place of which we my be justly proud by the time the visitors arrive. : "MEMBERS OF ONTARIO LEGISLATURE 10 VISIT TERRACE B ee o=0-0 INTEREST IN MART KENNEY'S VISIT MOUNTING There's a lot of interest and quite a bit of excitement in the district over the forth- coming visit of Mart Kenney and his orchestra to Terrace Bay.
