Now he thought this was wonderful for here was another bone that he could easily get and what a feast he would have. So he growled at the dog, thinking he could scare him, thus making him drop his bone, But the growl did no good and this ade Hazard angry. Had he only stopped to think he would have known that he was growling only at an image, but he didn't. Consequently, not stopping to use his head, he opened his mouth, sprang forward and snapped at the image. In so doing, he landed iin the cold water, got a mouthful of cold water which nearly strangled him, and his bone sank to the bottom. Alas} Hazard found that the other dog with his bone had disappeared and he had lost his own as well. Wet, and shivering, from the icy water, he crawled out onto the bank and lay down weeping bitter tears of sorrow and disillusionment. "If I hadonly~stopped to think," he moaned, "this wouldn't have happened} I!11 never do-it again," ee Moral: No matter who you are, where you are or what you are doing, take time to 7 think and you will never regret it for the life you save may be your own. o~O0-0 LOCAL HARDBALL TEAM GOING TO KAPASKASING Terrace Bay's Hardball Team is scheduled to play in Kapuskaskasing next Sunday, July 31st and the boys are really looking forward to the trip.
