Page § HOUSE LEAGUE HOCKEY Old man weather has been playing pranks the past few days and the result has been the cancellation of two House League hockey games during the past week, In the only game played since the last standings were published, Gorg Sheppard's "Red Birds" finally broke into the win column with a decisive 6-2 victory over Murdo Campbell's "Barons" as Don Galpin performed the 5-goal "hat trick" for the winners. The game which saw penalties go to Hanna (2), Lebel, Waresh, Cavanaugh and Diduch was played in 22 below zero weather and despite that fact a couple of dozen spectators were on hand to witness the proceedings. Goals for "Red Birds" were scored also by Whitley, Cavanaugh and Desmules while credit for the two "Baron" counters goes to Diduch and Timpano. Referees were Albert Boudreau and Johnny Holancin.
