Vol. 3 No, 41 LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY Octcber 14, 1948 SS ee "MONTY" PAGET ELECTED TO HEAD BADMINTON CLUB FOR SECOND TERM © Terrace Bay Badminton Club members elected an exequtive for the '48 - '49 season on Wednesday evening, October 6th at their Second Arinual Meeting, Prior to the elections, President Monty Paget reported on the activities of last season when a Badminton Club was organized for the first time at Terrace Bay. Reports were also given by the Secretary-lronsurer Gladys Irvine, who briefly outlined last years activities. The election which followed the reports resulted in the re-election of C. E. Monty! Paget for second term with other executive members as follows: Vice-President - Bill Lowe, Secretary-Treasurer - Doreen Lindberg, Executive Members - John Jeanneret and Marg. Storey. The meeting was attended by approximately 40 Badminton players. Following the election Frosident Paget indicated that a constitution would be drafted in the near future and a discussion regarding membership fees resulted in a decision to continue the annual fee of $1.00. It was also indicated thet the 15¢ charge per night for Badminton birds would be continued. Following the meeting, play was resumed on the 3 courts in the Recreation Hall, which are used regularly every Wednesday evening by the Badainton Club.
