Ryan and daughter Barbara, and Nr, Frank Arguille, all of Chicago have been visiting at the home of Mr, and Mrs, Richard Hupp, Terrace Bay. 0#0 -o FRASER~BRACE TROPHY PRESENTED TO COMETS AT SOFTBALL WIND-UP Terrace Bay's second organ- ized ball season reached a successful conclusion on Wednesday evening September 15th in the Recreation Hall when players from the six men's teams in the House League met for an informal get-together, During the evening there was, naturally, a lot of good natured ribbing about the res- pective merits of players and teams, The Fraser-Brace Trophy (donated last year for annual competition to the Softball Association by the General Contractors at Terrace Bay Fraser-Brace Engineering Co, (Ontario) Ltd.) was presented to the playoff winners by H. S. Graig, General Manager of LongLac Pulp and Paper Company. Before presenting the trophy, Mr. Craig read a telegram from G. R. Stephen, General Manager of Fraser-Brace who expressed regrets at being unable to be at Torrace Bay to present the trophy. Mr. Stephen also extended congratulations to the winning team. Following numerous humorous comments related to the ball season, Mr, Craig presented the Fraser-Brace Trophy to the Terrace Bay Comets. iccepting the Trophy on behalf of the team, the Captoir, Don Gew, commented on the successful season just completed and extended best wishes to all ball players who would be leaving Torrace Bay before next season, due to the near-completion of construction work on the Hydro and LongLac projects. Mr. Nelson thought that his fishing line had become tangled in the submerged branches of a tree, when to his amazement it was noted that the "branches" were the 12-prong antlers of a Caribou which was making its way to shore. It was estimated that the Caribou weighed about 70Q pounds,
