There were 186 couples present, The Recreation Hall was beautifully decorated in pastels. Arbors were enhanced with draperies and orange blossoms. Highlights of the evening were: H. Marcotte's six piece orchestra, a floor show con- sisting of our own Terrace Bay talent, and a refreshment booth. H. ilarcotte couldn't have been better. Elsie Rusnak, our "personality number", gave us our glamour. Eddie LeBlanc, "Bing Crosby" of Terrace Bay, crooned a few tunes in a most pleasing manner. And definitely on the beam was Ben Shute in his novelty piano numbers, Master of ceremonies, Jim Piette introduced each number and called on Mrs. Craig to draw the lucky number for the door prize. Lucky holder of the lucky number was no other than our own H. Murphy. As dance chairman, Mrs. Robert Schneble deserves a great deal of credit for her efforts. She was assisted by Terry Paulmert, advertising chairman; Colleen Stokes and Mrs. Gordon Bird, in cherge of the refreshment booth; Mrs. Ralph Shemanski, decorating chairman; Mrs. EB. Cavanaugh, checking chairman; Cathy Tracey, in charge of the door; and Mrs, J. Wig, who supervised the baby sitting service. All of the ladies co-ordinated their activities in such a manner that the dance went off with an air of casualness that belied and gratified the efforts of those who participated in the plenning. It was certainly one of the most successful dances held to date at Terrace Bay. ; 0-0-0 ILLENE OSTLING FETED Miss Illene Ostling was guest of honour at a delightfully arranged shower at the home of Mrs. E.
