OD 0 AGUASABON RIVER UP TWELVE FEET Since water in the Aguasabon River started to rise with the spring thaw, the level has come up 12 feet. Much of the increase has occurred during the past 72 hours. In one 14 hour period last Monday there was a rise of 28 inches. It was during this particular period that it was necessary to take speedy action to move the emergency pump at the river just north of the jackisdder location. Thirty-five men worked from 7:00 p.m. Monday to 3:00 a.m, Tuesday toremove the heavy pump from its flooded location and it was not until Wednesday morning that the re- located pump was hooked into the emergency water line thus assuring an adequate supply of water in case of fire. During the emergency everyone was asked to conserve water "just in case", As we go to press, everthing seems to be under control, although the rising river is causing some concern to Malcolm Spidell "Boss of the River Drive", At the time of writing, however, Malcolm's new river booms are holding fast. 9) Oo MATL DISPATCH HOURS It has been announced by Ed Cavanaugh, Terrace Bay Postmaster that mail will now be dispatched daily at the following hours: Eastbouni-~10:30 a.m and 8:30 psm, Westbound=6:45 p.m; In future the General Delivery wicket will be cbsed for an hour from 11:30 a.m. until 12;30 to pick up noon mail from the eastbound train,
