In its entirety this job calls for the installation of about 1600 feet of concrete pipe stretching out into Lake Superior for the intake, a pump-house on the lake shore and a steel pipe line running above ground from the pump-house to the mill, a rise of more than 300 fect in less than 2 miles, This line will be tapped by the townsite for their supply and will pass beneath the C.P.R. tracks just east of the station. The last piece of the intake pipe was placed beneath the lake surface on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 27th. Work is now scheduled to start on the passage of the line under the C.P.R. tracks.
