Father James Delaney, who celebrated his first Mass at Terrace Bay cn Sunday, September 6th. Father Delaney was born at Chapleau, Ontaric, where his father was a C.P.R. trainman., Father Delaney reccived his primary and secondary education at Nerth Bay, following which he attended college at Kitchener, Montreal and London. He was ordained as a priest in 1940. His first appointment was to Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, from which he was transferred to Temagami, where he was stationed for 4$ years, during which much cf his time was spent on the Indian Reserve at Bear Island. Prior to his appoint- ment to Terrace Bay, Father Delaney was located at Wawa.
