Prizes of $5,00 and $2.00 are cffered in each of four classes, speckled trout, lake trout, pike and pickerely so come on gang, turn 'em in for weighing at the Post Office to official judge Postmaster Eddie Cavanaugh. -c0o- ON THE LAKESHORE By Walt Lemiski Prorress is slow but sure on the installation of the 48" concrete pipe. To date, three 36-foot length sections have been laid and the excavation for the fourth has been begun. On the pumphouse itself, the screen chamber is taking form with a portion of the concrete walls poured. Retaining walls of sheet piling are to be driven in about a week from the pumphouse to the lake. These are to facilitate the placement of the concrete intake pipe into the Lake. On the west side of the Bay, R.Ostling and his boys are still gunking the dresser couplings. The expert on this gunking procedure is Bob Davidson. Incidentally, Bob has a new nickname -- wonder where he got it, One thing that the boys on the Lakeshore can boast about is the good tans they got.
