GRUDGE GaME OF SEaSON ENDS -- 9-8 FOR COMETS - continued Page Three of the record crowd, The "Old Boys", a team composed of fellows who have been on the job nigh on 4 year now, _-grunted and sweated out the seven innings in fine fashion. They were an unknown quantity before _ the game but after the score was totalled at 9-8 for the "Comets", the "Old Boys" considered they had come very close to beating one of the best teams in the Terrace Bay "4" League. Dressing room chatter revealed that the boys would like to go at it again, very soon. From the "Old Boys" came the cry, "Wait till we get in shape -- we'll beat those guys" and, from the "Comets", "We were just foolin' around with 'em this time -- next time it will be different", The "Old Boys" have extended a challenge to any team in either league, and a special challenge to the league champions at the end of the season. So, watch out for the onslaught you ball fans -- the "Old Boys" are catching their second wind. Catcher - Ed.
