"Steamrollers" continued on their winning-way last week, On Thursday night, the team swept to an imposing 12-0 victory over the Fraser-Brace "Rummies", "Big Jim" Cairns pitched superb ball, and came close to achieving a "no hitter". Only two safe hits were allowed and the "Rummies" did not manage to get a man as far as second base. Friday night, the, team journeyed over to the Hydro and again demonstrated their ability by pounding out an 11-2 win. The highlight of the game was the long smash ef Jim Brett's to centre field. The newly-christened "Draglines" have had a little difficulty getting underway. They dropped their first tilt by one run and took their second by default. However, Ken Dunean is still op- timistic about the team's future. This apparatus, a completely equipped heavy-duty pumper, was wholly outfitted by the American LaFrance Fire and Foamite Company on a three ton specially designed Ford chassis. The pumper has a 200-gallon reserve water tank serviced by a 150-foot, 3/4-inch booster hose; thus enabling the fire fighters to fight fires away from available water supply.
