The Hospital Staff wish to offer their thanks to those who gave so willingly of their time, ~o0o- | It's acrial trouble at Ted Jones' again, Last week, it was stated that Ted's radio re= ception improved after the ground wire was removed from the aerial connection, It has been reported since that this story was misleading and technically inaccurate. For record purposes, here is the entire history. Ted Sr.'s original hook-up of ground and aerial yielded good re= sults until Ted Jr, and Foster rewired tc give ground on ground. Reception then went so bad that Bob Harris of Charlie Wakeham's crew was consulted. He at once put in the old ground and aerial arrangement which improved receiption considerably and also provoked this write-up, By the way, Bob actually does advise a ground on aerial connection if no aerial has been strung up. -O00- Sunday visitors tc the Hydro Dam Camp saw the results of two days cf monitor washing on the hillside, A substantial portion cf the cast bank has already gone down the river. =000- Representatives of Canadian Dredge, contractors on the water intake job, are now with us. With favouring winds, the tug and dredge should be in our bay this weekend, The dredge is ecming from Port Dalhousie on Lake Ontario. -O00~ Mr. S. 4. Purvis, B.Se., has recently joined the Fraser-Brace Engineering Staff. He previously was construction engineer at Marathon for 2 years and also has served in the same capacity on the new BeA Oil Refinery job at Clarkson, Ontario. He has expressed his admira- tion of the rapid progress made here since last August, when he first visited Terrace Bay. -000= We were sorry to hear that Jack Stirling of the Hydro Dam. Camp was involved in an auto- mobile accident a few miles east of Rossport. He is now convalescing in the hospital and hopes to be back on the job shortly. =0C0o= Messrs. F. Wiesner and L. McCoy of Kimberly-Clark Corporation are spending several days cn business here at Terrace Bay, ile oOo The personnel of the Upper Engineering Office all miss Grace Ncer, who has recently been taken ill and will be away for the next few days. -o00- Fred Soughtcn has recently returned from a short visit to Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Neenah, Wisconsin, -c0o~ Those who are short of reading matter and newspapers need no longer stop the vendor on Number 7, Ed. Cavanaugh has duly received permission to set up a small paper agency at the back cf the Post Office.
