- Description
- This is a photograph of the mill site taken in July, 1947. In the six short months after this photograph was taken, the mill site was transformed into a veritable maze of buildings in various stages of completion. The pulp storage building which stood alone in January was surrounded. The 1000 man camp was completed in April. Warehouse buildings as long as 400 feet had been constructed. A concrete batching plant can be seen on the left corner. The structural steel outline of the mill is beginning to take shape, erected by the Canadian Bridge Co. A 100,000 gallon water tower was being erected by Horton Steel Works.
