- Description
- This is a general aerial view taken in July, 1946 looking from the mill site clearing, in the foreground, down the railroad spur line to the lower camp and C.P.R. transcontinental line. In the distance is Lake Superior from which the permanent water supply would be drawn. An intake pipeline, four feet in diameter, extends 1600 feet out into the lake. Water would be pumped from the pump house on the lake shore through a steel water main to the town and mill.
