Notes - Exhibit Number One 1. The old photograph is undated and none of the men shown in the photograph are identified. 2. Other than being on James Isbester's C.P.R. Contract the exact location of the rock cut being excavated, as shown in the photograph, is not known. 3. The old photograph is mounted on a heavy cardboard photographic mount. Printed on the back of the mount is: Henry & Norman Photographers Port Arthur Ont. The jagged right hand side of the old photograph and the cardboard photographic mount suggests that, for some unknown reason, a small amount of the right hand side of the photograph has been removed. 5. Toward the right hand edge of the photograph a group of men can be seen standing in the rock cut. 6. James Isbester is known to have been a big man in both stature and in disposition. Comparing known identified photographs of James Isbester with the man standing in front of the group of men, with his hat tilted well back on his head and with his left hand in his coat pocket suggests that this man is James Isbester.
