Notes - Exhibit Number Twelve 1. The newspaper clipping says that Mr. James Isbester had large interests in the Northwest but it makes no mention of what these interests might be. 2. One of Mr. Isbester's interests could have been a substantial interest in the construction of a railway running from Winnipeg generally north easterly to Hudson Bay. 3. Another of Mr. Isbester's Northwest interests could have been construction on the Canadian Northern Railway being built by William Mackenzie and Donald Mann easterly from Winnipeg, running through Rainy River, Fort Francis and Atikokan into Port Arthur. Still another of Mr. Isbester's Northwest interests could have been construction work being carried out by him through the Crow's Nest Pass for the Canadian Pacific Railway.
