The story in the paper indicates a new public school was built in 1963. I remember going to this new public school in grade one. This was in 1957 when I was 6 years old. I had Mrs. Lane as my teacher. I do not know when the new school had opened, but it was up and running in 1957. It was very nice, clean and well kept. Mr Ermel was the principal.
