TWEEDSMUIR HISTORY The purpose of the TWEEDSMUIR HISTORY BOOK shows the growth and development of each community. Anyone who paints,draws maps,writes articles or poems etc should be recorded and this would contribute to the history of a community. Across Canada and round the world,the Women's Institute curators work on these books. These books act as a storehouse for copies of history,copis of documents, relating to the history of any locale. It shows the part of individuals who play a significant part in settl ing of any particular territory and it is eventually encluded in Canadian Affairs. The function of the book is threefold,-to acquire material or historical interest,to preserve this material and to make it avail-to researcers.Institutes play a most vital part in the development of their communities. Curators are hampered if she asks for help to obtain material for the history book and does not receive it from the members. Pictures and history of same are needed very urgently before the curator can fulfil her potentials in compiling this information of the area.lt is the responsibility of each member to offer information to the curator of the branch.
