SCHREIBER MEDICAL CENTRE The Schreiber Medical Centre was officially opened in September of 1975 with many citizens attending, The building was formerly the post office built in 19 . The Council turned it over to the town for a medical centre hoping to obtain a resident doctor or doctors to remain in the town. They felt that it would attract doctors when proper facilities were provided. It was renovated to provide a doctors' suite of rooms,office,accommodation for a District Health Unit,rooms for a dentist and an optometrist and headquarters for ambulance. Jack Stokes MPP. Reeve Harold McParland held the ribbon for Doctor Miro Spacek to cut it for the opening ceremonies.
