Y M C A After nearly 60 years in operation the Schreiber A. closeda nd was demolished in 1967, It was built in 1908, The building was sold for it's lumber. In its early days the Y.M.C.A. was the Community centre besides being the only accommodation for the travelling public; till the hotels were built. Boys clubs,card room,bowling alley,an excellent dining room,reading room and music room where many a sing-song was enjoyed,were some of the things that Schreiberites had available to them. The lot is now being used partly for a car lot and Schreiber's first park where the cenotaph was placed last year. The Town Fathers are planning further improvements on the park in the near future and the Women's Institute plans to put a park bench in it. By Mrs- Anne Todesco,W.I. Curator
