CANADA PROVINCE OF ONTARIO CITY OF THUNDER BAY A PRONOUNCEMENT THE AMALGAMATION AT THE CANADIAN LAKEHEAD OF THE TWIN CITIES OF FORT WILLIAM AND PORT ARTHUR, TOGETHER WITH THE TWO TOWNSHIPS OF NEEBING AND MCINTYRE IS DECLARED OFFICAL AS OF JANUARY 1, 1970 ANNO DOMINI AND BE IT KNOWN THAT HENCEFORTH THIS NEW COMMUNITY OF 100,000 SOULS SHALL BE CALLED THE CITY OF THUNDER BAY therefore, it is fitting that this great occasion shall be celebrated with all suitable pageantry by all our citizenry with great feats on land, sea and in air, with exhibitions of skills of all sorts with music and contests of physical process. An Enthusiastic Invitation is hereby Extended by the new City of thunder Bay to all nearby and to travellers near and far to join with our citizenry in joyful respite from their daily labours to share our gay and carefree demonstrations stimulating goodwill and neighbourliness to our mutual happiness and good health.
