In the fall of 1921 the Methodists and Presbyterians united, selling the Methodist church and parsonage and using the enlarged former Presbyterian church. The name was changed to St. Andrew's United Church. The Methodist church had an organ worked by a bellows in a back room of the church and several grandfathers of today recall being fired as organ blower, when they left their post to take part in a game of some sort during the service, leaving the organ without power for the closing hymn when they forgot to return.
