Some Projects by Individuals During I962-68-70-- I--Elzear Duquette of St.Monique,Quebec,58 years old made his third walk across Canada in 2O years. This trip he pulled his home,a wooden casket on bicycle wheels---decorated---across the Dominion enroute to Expo 70 in Osaka,Japan. 2--The authentic I7th century replica of the English Fur Boat,the NONSUCH -built in England,sailed across the Atlantic and the Great Lakes Seaway enroute to a permanent berth in Winnipeg in 1971. 3--H.R. H. Duke of Edinburgh's second Common Wealth Study Conference in May 27, I962. 4--Phillip Moen and his police dog walked across Canada in 1967 as a Centennial Gesture. 5--Centennial Voyageur Canoe Pageant started at Rocky Mountain House near Edmonton May 24th as a Centennial project. 6--Mackenzie Voyageurs and the Les Couriers Des Bois from Vancover and NWT. 7--The Norwesteners Canoe Brigade from Winnipeg 8--The American team and huskey dog from Nuiley,New Jersey (canoe) 9--Canadian Wagon Train pulled by horses to Expo 67 (prairie schooners) 10--Mr.and Mrs. Chas. Ismon of Shaunavon, Sask. with their personal wagon train pulled by donkeys to Expo 67. II--Three men from New Westminister B.C. paddling Kayaks to Expo 67. IS--Chris Robin roller skated from Victoria B.C. to expo 67,Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. 15--Gerald B. Brailsford of Yorkshire,England attempted to paddle a kayak from the Lakehead to Montreal but abandoned the project at the Soo. 14--Mr. and Mrs. Sid Nelson from Inuvik N.W.T. motored to Expo 67 in a 1929 model A Ford and on to Halifax. 15--Antique cars--197 of them toured across Canada to the Expo 67 from Vancouver.
