Claude | Thompson A well known and_ highly respected area resident, Claude Thompson of Vernon died in an Ottawa hospital on February 10th after a brief illness, in his 61st year. Born at Morewood, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raw Thomp- son, he received his education -at Morewood Public and Russell Continuation School. At Russell in 1945, he married the former Mabel Carson who survives. He is also survived by three sons and three daughters: Mrs. Bill Williams (Donna), South Mountain; David, Ottawa; Mrs. Ken McLaren (Ruth) and Bruce of Metcalfe. Brent and Claudia at home, one sister Emma Petch of Ottawa; two brothers, Ken of Ottawa and Morgan of Cheyenne, Wyoming also sur- vives. He was predeceased by a sister, Lillian. . Miss Mabel Morrow Miss Mabel Morrow died sud- denly at Women's College Hospital, Toronto, on February 13th in her 56th year.
