St. Mary's Anglican Church celebrates 124th anniversary St. Mary's Anglican Church, Russell celebrated. its 124th An- niversaryon September 13, 1981 with a special service at 5 p.m. followed by a dinner in the Church Hall. Many former parishioners and clergy joined the congregation in celebrating the 124th anniversary of the founding of St. Mary's and x the 93rd anniversary of the pre- sent church building. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Clement Fran- cis with assistance by visiting clergy and Rev. Lloyd Bradley, priest-in-charge from 1940 to 1944, preached the sermon. : The congregation of St. Mary's looks forward to celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Anglican Church in Russell in September - 1982. Obituary Suddenly; in hospital, Tuesday, September 29, 1981, Emerson Hitsman, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hitsman in his 60th year. Surviv- ing are his wife, the former Mary Harrison, a sister Mrs. Hugh Ross and a brother Marshall Hitsman, all of Russell. Interment was in Bearbrook Anglican Cemetery.
