Oat temen INR ant ayy ol . an Page 12° (4 - Ottawa Valley farmers set for spring show Everything from cattle sales to a fashion show await visitors to the Ot- tawa Valley Farm Show March 18-21 at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa. The opener to spring, sponsored by the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers' Association, attracts participants from Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and Northern New York State and will feature indoor and out- door exhibits of a full range of farm equipment and supplies. Cattle sales will include Jerseys March 18, Simmentals March 19 and Herefords March 20. Among the exhibitors will be the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ontario Milk Marketing Board, Pedigreed Seed, Ontario Crop Insurance, Ontario Ploughmen's Association and Eastern Breeders. There will be a total of 20 commercial exhibitors. More than $2,000 in cash prizes and several trophies will be competed for at the Ottawa Valley seed, feed and forage championship. Soya beans will be the newest category at the competition. Evening programs will include the opening dinner March 18 at which Mr. Raymond Kemp, past president of the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers Association, will be presented with a special award for a lifetime of work in the agricultural community. On March 19, there will be fashion show for ladies sponsored by Manotick Fashions, a cooking demonstra- tion and entertainment by the Acre Family Singers from Vernon. Members of rural youth organizations such as Junior Farmers, 4-H and calf clubs will perform in an amateur contest on the evening of March 20. A special feature this year will be a free chance for a trip for two to the Calgary Stampede. Charlene O'Neill, Ontario Dairy Princess, and Peggy Kniesz, Queen of the Furrow, will attend the show. Meals will be served daily in the assembly hall. Admission is free. 'POETS OF THE..
