Si ; 1ST RUSSELL GIRL GUIDE COMPANY The Girl Guides wound up their year with the annual Mother/Daughter banquet on June 12th. Highlight of the evening was the presentation of tk_ All Round Cord to Pamela Smit. Pamela is the first Russell Guide to earn this award which is the second highest achievement in Guiding. Other highlights were (i) The presentation of the Ceres medal to Mr. and Mrs. C. Smit voted "Parents of the Year". (2) A second Ceres medal was presented to Tena Weatherall voted "Guide of the Year". (3) The official enrolment of Katherine Sherwood into Girl Guides and (4) The NEW COMMERCIAL HOTEL RUSSELL ONT Fully Licensed Entertainment Thurs, Fri. Sat. Night Banquet Facilities 445-2808 OWNER BEN NY COLASANTE presentation of 10 Emblems and 42 Badges representing a very busy year. Summer plans include a Company Camp in July and each Patrol is planning their own Backyard Camp and other Badge work. | RA "200" CLUB The Russekk Recreation Association had the final draw for $1,000. on Friday, June 6th. The winning ticket was drawn by Ginette Rozon. The happy but tearful winner was Mrs, Bikodeau. The cheque was presented by Paul EutLenr and Andre Cousineau.
