THE HEAD OF LAKE ROSSEAU - sketched by C. Roper in 1883. This picture shows Pratt's "Rosseau House" hotel just before it burned in 1883, and the mouth of the Shadow River. The fishermen in the foreground are on the shoreline owned by Henry Ditchburn and this would be a view from his property in the early 1880's.
