Cook until thick in double boiler. Soak gelatin in the cold water five minutes. Add to hot pumpkin mixture, mix thoroughly and cool. When it begins to thicken add the stiffly beaten egg whites to which has been added 1/4 cup w. sugar. Pour into shell, chill, garnish with whipped cream.
