CASTOR REVIEW Meditorial By Rev. James Paul In an exclusive photograph taken for Look magazine, Idi Amin proudly posed with some of his children. The picture reveals no less than twenty four shining faces dazzling as diamonds around an unwholesome stature of a man. This photograph reminds me of the blatant hypocrisy of man in the face of what has been called The Year of the Child-1979. It seems unconceivable that one man can father over two dozen children and at the same time slaughter hundreds of others. Apart from the need to reaffirm the Judgement of God upon every perpetrator of evil, we need in this year 1979 to rekindle the love of God for our children. The bible clearly states, in Psalm 127:3;5, that "children are a gift from the Lord; happy is the man who has his quiver full of them."" We all have been entrusted as caretakers of the King's jewels. Each one is unique and priceless. Moreover, each one has been created with a God-shaped vacuum which can only be filled with the person of Jesus Christ. With this responsibility then, we cannot live Godless lives before them, nor can we treat them as second class citizens. It's a gruesome thought that Canada is never farther away than one generation from a complete moral and spiritual collapse. In this year of the child don't forget to teach the children that there is a loving God who has payed for their sin's curse and who can fill their life with joy and purpose. Let's not misuse these priceless jewels of the King. Kenmore and Russell Baptist Churches Minister: Rev.
