22; ' GIRL GUIDE NEWS The Canada Cord, the highest award in Guiding was presented to Pamela Smit in 'our triple cord ceremony on Nov. 20th. The two other Guides also honoured were Karen Butler and Tena Weatherall who each received the All Round Cord. This is the only other cord in Guiding and second only to the Canada Cord in achievement. Other events of the evening included the enrolment of"six new Guides and the presentation of the Challenge Badge to Rosemary Wigcheren. Several other badges and emblems were also awarded. e*kekek & RUSSELL ARENA NEWS Public Skating Hours Friday 6.30 - 8 p.m. . Sunday 2.- 3 p.m. | Admission 25¢ Note: On Friday December 19th skating will be from 6-7 p.m. - free admission. Sunday afternoon skating is proving to be very popular and it is now realized that a longer period should have been allocated for this activity. Unfortunately we cannot alter our schedule at this time. My apologies but next year more time. will be provided. The Russell Public, Russell and Marionville Separate Schools are now ysing the arena for skating during the afternoon, weekdays. On Friday, December 19th, the Embrun '!72 junior team will be playing St. Isodore juniors in the Russell arena - game time 8.30 p.m. The Russell ladies have now formed a Ringette team and they will be playing every Sunday from 4-5 p.m. : Jack McLaren a a LIBRARY NEWS Library Hours: _ Monday, Friday and a Saturday 2.30 p.m. - 5 p.m, , Tuesday and Thursday 7.00 p.m. - 9 p.m. .
