It was one of the oldest buildings in the village, but it was always kept in good repain. The building was finst built for the purpose of divine worship for an increasing Methodist Congregation and remained as a Methodist Church untik Church Union came into being in 1925. The Presbyterian Church then became the United Church and the continuing Presbyterians at that time used the Methodist Church fOr divine Services, AS' the numbers in the Presbyterian Congregation diminished throughout the folLowing years, the Church was sold to McCaffrey Wholesake Distributors, who converted the Church into a useful warehouse. About two years ago McCaffrey Wholesale Distributors sold thein business to the Hudson Bay Company. This Company found it necessary to build a bigger warehouse and recentky the Church building has been vacant. A Locak construction company had plans to convert the old Church building into apartments, but this morning it Lay in ruins, awaiting further pkans.
