WHEN YOUNG GIRLS GROW PALE AND THIN Dr. Williams' Pink Pills Should be Taken to Enrich the Blood When girls grow weak, pale and thin, parents should not neglect these symptoms; to do so means danger. The girl in her {2ens cannot develop into robust womanhood without an] abundant supply of rich, red blood in her veins. It is the lack of this that | compared with the previous week of giple for India and has to keep touch is the great trcuble with nine girls; out of ten. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills have achieved world-wide fame for their remarkable blood-making prop- erties. In these pills there is vigor- ous health, with glowing cheeks and sparkling eyes for every weak, pale | girl. The value of the pills in cases! of this kind is shown by the state- ments of Mrs. Winnifred Rutty, Bar- ton street west, Hamilton, Ont., who says:--""About two years ago my eldest girl got into very bad health. I took her to a doctor who advised having her tonsils removed, saying this was the seat qf the trouble. We had them removed, but it did not help her, and she seemed to have absorbed 80 much poison from the trouble that she did not pick up at all. She could neither eat nor sleep, and what food she did take dia not digest. Then she developed a cough that kept her awake at night, and went down in weight to 95 pounds. A neighbor said to me, 'You have tried so many things why not try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills?" I got some and before she finished the second box sha began to show improvement. She continued the use of the pills for some time and fs now in the pink of condition, able to work and play, and eat and sleep with all her old-time vigor. These statements can be verified by neigh- bors who watched her restored from ill health to perfect health." If your medicine dealer does not keep these pills you can get them by maii at 50c a box from The Dr. Wil- liams' Medicine Co., Brockville, Ont. --% Learning ! A theatrical troupe arrived in a New England town late one evening to find that no accommodation was to be had in the only hotel that the] place afforded. The landlord did not seem a bit affected by the sad plight of the tourists but after much per- suasion the old fellow said they could sleep in an abandoned church across the street. For want of any other shelter they accepted and retired for the night. About two o'clock in the morning the landlord heard the church bell ringing vigorously, and sent his son over to see what was the matter. Activity in Howey shares may be attributed _ to the report from Red Lake received in the city. This states that slashing operations on the 500-foot level "has widened out the vein to 30 feet with values holding good. The Keeley Silver Mines has issued a progress report, as follows: 'During the three months ended October 31st, 1928, the mine produced 151,225 ounces of silver and 19,935 pounds of cobalt. Exploration of the lower con- tact has made good progress and in- teresting occurrences of cobalt and small quantities of leaf silver have been encountered. It is anticipated that .the most favorable ground will be reached in from two to three months time. 'A surface discovery was made a few hundred feet east of the main shaft which shows high grade silver for a distance of about twenty feet. Drifting has been com- menced from the second level to inter- cept this occurrence at that horizon." This official report of the surface dis- covery and subsequent operations at the second level bear out the reports of this effect published a couple of weeks ago. ° The Vipond Consolidated Mines, Limited, also have issued a progress report, which follows: "During the three months ending October 31st, 1928, the mine has produced bullion to the value of $179,800, from 23,013 tons milled. Developments at the 600 and 700-foot levels as outlined at the annual general meeting of share- holders held on November 6th con- tinue to show excellent results, and work has been commenced at the 500- foot level with a view to finding the upward extension of this ore body." A probable factor in the world nickel situation looms on the horizon with the news of the rehabilitated Lake Superior Corporation owning ap- proximately 160,000 acres of mineral- ized ground in the Sudbury district, in close proximity to the International Nickel Company's properties.
