BOARD TO SIT ON POLICE STATUS The Ontario Municipal Board will hear arguments Oct. 20 on the police village status of Russell and Embrun. The board will meet at 10:30 a.m. Embrun and at 2 p.m. Russell at the --Township Hall. Most police villages in Ontario have been abolished. There is a proposal to replace the trustee system with a ward setup in Russell and Embrun. Castor Review FENWICK VISIT Mrs. Fenwick of Toronto, wife of the late Dr. G. Roy Fenwick, Superintendent of Music for the Province of Ontario for 25 years and well-known to many in the Russell area as adjudicator at the Russell Music Festival over the years, spent a few days recently the guest of Mrs. Jack Twiname. A new service is available from the library. We have installed a "book slot" so you may return books even when the library is not open. The library is sponsoring an "art contest", for all element- ary school children in Russell. Details are available at both schools.
