Page 6 Wednesday, April 14, 1976 Bogie Benders Now that spring has finally sprung, we set about the business of putting away our winter tops. The members of the Russell Bogie Benders Snowmobile Club have set aside their snow machines for the duration of the snowless months, but not before having a very successful season. Approximately 75 machines participated in the snowmobile rally that was held January 10. It was followed by a bean and turkey supper and a dance at the Arena, during which the various trophies and prizes for rally events, were presented to their respective winners. Most of the members enjoyed quite a few outings over the winter. Some of the trips were on the groomed double trails of the Castor River Snowmobile Assoc- iation. The scenery taken in while riding along, with the sun glistening down on the crunchy snow in cold, crisp air would make even the truest skeptic believe there truly is a "Winter Wonderland." The Russell Bogie Benders ended a fine snowmobile season with a party at the Legion Hall on March 27. So itis, with a shade of sadness, that we snowmobile enthusiasts hail the coming of the warm weather, but as soon as_ the winter months roll around again we'll welcome the snow they bring.
